An Fál Carrach / Falcarragh is a small Gaeltacht (Irish speaking) market town which boasts the spectacular Drumnatinney Green Coast Beach and is situated near Muckish Mountain and the Derryveagh mountain range. Nearby Ballyconnell has Cloich Cheann Fhaola – the Cloughaneely stone said to have been used by Balor of the Evil Eye to behead McFeeley after he had stolen the Cow of Plenty from Toraigh (Tory island). Also, nearby, is the ruins of Ray Church where stands the largest fully intact, medieval high Cross in Ireland.

Falcarragh in all respects is a fun town with a great tradition of crafts. The Shamrock Bar on main street is an excellent venue for music lovers and has an atmosphere all of its own. The Gweedore Bar and Restaurant serves excellent meals all day and is located in the middle of the town.
